On January 30 of the current year, a field study was conducted in Parkent district of Tashkent region to explore potential locations for organizing a summer camp for students, including international students. The study was carried out in cooperation with the staff of the Innovation Center for Business and Tourism Development of MDIST, third-year student Oybek Khamidullayev, and representatives of the Research Institute for Tourism Development.
During the visit, the “Sayyoh 2000” guest house, hostels and Edelweiss recreation camps located in Kumushkon, as well as the “Zarkent Ota” pilgrimage site and newly constructed recreational facilities in Kumushkon, were thoroughly examined. The team closely reviewed the available conditions and infrastructure on site.
In addition, speaking on behalf of the students, Oybek Khamidullayev highlighted the availability of student-oriented facilities at these locations, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, opportunities to enjoy cultural heritage sites, and gastronomic tourism. All relevant conditions were assessed, and preliminary timelines were agreed upon.
By the end of May and the beginning of June, initial steps were taken to implement this project not only in cooperation between the two institutes but also in coordination with higher education institutions in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Organizing such engaging events not only reflects the favorable conditions created for students, but also demonstrates MDIST’s strong commitment to student support. Moreover, it contributes to increasing the number of prospective applicants and students in the future and strengthening the institute’s position in the educational marketing landscape.
