MDIST Business and tourism development unit staff visit Parpi Ota Shrine in Ohangaron District

On November 14 Staff members of Business and Tourism Development Unit of the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent conducted a field visit to the Parpi Ota shrine, located in the Ohangaron district.

The visit aimed to explore the historical and spiritual significance of the sacred site, as well as to study the potential of pilgrimage tourism within the region. During the trip, MDIST representatives familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the shrine, visitor services, and opportunities for enhancing cultural and religious tourism experiences.

This initiative forms part of MDIST’s ongoing efforts to deepen understanding of Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage, support local tourism development, and strengthen practical engagement with significant historical destinations.
