Bostanlyk district is the most interesting tourist area of the Tashkent region. This vast region is located in the north-east of the Tashkent region at a distance of 50 to 200 km from Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
 
The most popular tourist places in Bostanlyk are Charvak reservoir, Chimgan mountains, Amirsay and Beldersay ski resorts.
 
The area is surrounded on all sides by mountains (Ugam, Pskem, Chatkal ridges of the Southwestern Tien Shan), the maximum height of which exceeds 4300 meters. The most famous of them are: Adelunga Peak (4301 m), Beshtor Peak (4299 m), Big Chimgan (3309 m), Amir Temur Peak (3762 m), Tavalgan Peak (3854 m) and many others.
 
Three large rivers flow in the region: Pskem, with the main tributaries - Oygaing, Maydantal and Charalma. Koksu and Chatkal - along with the tributaries Akbulak, Terekli and Karaarcha. All these rivers flow into the Charvak reservoir (as a link), the grandiose dam of which was built in 1970. Now it is a favorite place for Tashkent residents and tourists who come to relax in numerous hotels located around the reservoir. The exotic villages of Brichmulla, Yakkatut, Sidjak, Nanai, located around the reservoir, are also very famous.
 
In the Bostanlyk region there is a huge number of small rivers with picturesque waterfalls, very popular with tourists: Tavaksay, Kyzylsu, Aktash, Nauvalisay, Aksarsay, Kulasya, Paltau, Chukuraksu, Ispay and many others.
 
Tourists are attracted by the mysterious impregnable high-mountain plateau Pulatkhan, surrounded on all sides by impregnable rocky cliffs. Many travelers have reported seeing UFOs over the plateau. On the Plateau there is a 500m deep cave with internal wells reaching 80m deep.
 
Lovers of karst caves can visit the interesting caves Jurchashaya, Hydroingeo (Dvukhglazka) on the Giza plateau, as well as the small Paltau cave (special permits are needed for the border zone).
In winter, Bostanlik turns into a paradise for winter sports lovers - the most modern ski resort Amirsoy with the latest equipment and ski and snowboard rental, as well as a 4 * hotel. Fans of freeride and off-piste skiing occupy the Beldersay resort on Mount Kumbel.
 
Bostanlik region is one of the best places in the world for heliskiing and heliboarding - extreme skiing using a helicopter.
 
The region is unusually rich in lakes. The most famous is the jade lake Urungach, the lower lake is full of water from April to July and has a magical color, attracting thousands of tourists.
 
They amaze with their wild beauty of Badak Lake, which is within daytime accessibility, Ikhnachkul Lake, which takes 3-4 days to reach, Termetash and Karakanysh Lakes, Shavarkul and many ice lakes at an altitude above 3000 meters.
 
In the Bostanlyk region there are eternal glaciers - Pakhtakor, Beshtor, Tekesh, Ozerny glacier, Barkrak glacier and others. The glaciers have huge cracks, and you need to navigate them with a guide and special equipment.
 
The area is very popular among outdoor enthusiasts - trekking and hiking, climbing and rock climbing, cycling, paragliding, rafting and kayaking, water skiing, boating on the Charvak reservoir,
 
there is a via ferrata in Nanai, a zip line in Bulaksu. Bostanlyk often hosts various competitions - national and international levels.
 
In the area there are a large number of sanatoriums, rest houses, tourist complexes and boarding houses, children's summer camps. There are also seasonal sports camps where they teach rock climbing, the basics of mountaineering and behavior in mountain conditions.
